We are quite small cattery found out in 2006. In fact, I have bought our first cat one year before -  concretely Siberian Cat called Bonnie.

Bonnie wasn´t bought due to breeding activities in any case. I wanted her only as a pet. When I told to my husband that I would like to let her sterilize, he stared at me with a reproachful look and asked me : „Do you want to tell me that Bonnie won´t have any kittens?“  And that was exactly the moment when everything has started : First show, first cat – friends, pedigree strees checking, genetic studies etc.

Our family have three memebers: me, my husband Zdeněk and Richard - our son. We have tree-rooms flat in the large city center of Prague. There are four cats with us. There are no place for another animal. We are really care for wellfare and quiet enviroment.

 

And here your are the story, how it started........










 

Story I. - Bonnie

However, Bonnie had never interfered into a breed, she has been our stirps. And in addition, she has never involved the breed directly, I found out my breeding station and I have met many of new friends in favour of her – they are Siberian Cat breeders who entered into my life. The most of these friendships are still very firm and stable.

I am absolutely not sure how did it happen, but during one Autmn day I have made a decision to buy a cat. It was due to a feeling that something important is missing in our flat. Well, actually, however  we have planned a baby somewhen  later, the feeling of necessity to have a small pet seemed to be so strong. I am going to buy a cat, this was my final decision. I bought a magazine called Our cats and browsed through all enclosed information there. And there were a lot of beautiful cats. I showed this magazine to my granny only as  if „by the way“ and she avowed :“Oh yes, cool, I really like cats!“   I felt as if she agreed. Afterwards I showed this magazine to my husband and he ratified it, as well : „Yes, we want exactly this!“  Now, everythig is clear – here will be a cat!

We were interested in Norwegian Forest Cats, but they weren´t so extended in Czech Republic. And definitelly, there was no possibility to get them promptly according to my wish. I realize that small tigers who have a similar look as Norwegian Forest Cats are Siberians. So I found an advertisement, checkes web pages and guesed that Mrs. Motllová, Siberian cat breeder, lives only a several minutes far from our house. It was Saturday. I called her to express my wish to see her kitten. Unfortunatelly, she was spending a weekend in a cottage with her family. And that was the time of questions-shower. About 5 callings with many important questions, requests and interests. I tried to ask her for everything. We fixed an appointment on Monday. I don´t know exactly why or how, but I was absolutelly sure to take a cat called Bonnie imidiatelly.  Not even I though if the cat is healthy or likable to us. Thank´s God, everything turned out to be OK.

On Monday afternoon I got Bonnie closed in a container into my house. No one was at home. My grany arrived later and gazed out at the door. Yes, it was completelly my secret action and nooneelse knows it. My granny asked me hesitantly : „It is ours?“

I had to go to work in the evening. When I was leaving the house, Bonnie played with my granny used small balls and mouselets. During the evening my husband arrived home from work. And he was quite angry, granny said later. He phoned me, but according to my bussy time I wasn´t able to pick up the phone. I got home with tears in my eyes and I expected the worst. My husband was lying in a bed without a word and what about Bonnie? She lied by his feet covered by a blanket. He whispered with his first finger keeping up : „Pssssssst, Bonnie is sleeping!“ So, Bonnie was domesticated.

Bonnie is so beautiful cat and her first owner wished to show Bonnie. Why not, I wanated to try it. Bonnie, unfortunatelly, doesn´t like cat-shows and she had finished her carrier with Interchampion item. That was the time for kittens. No kittens came in spite of many attempts of insemination or tom-cat changings.Unfortunatelly we didn´t gain any kittens. We arranged with a sterilization in February 2010 and she has exactly been the pet she´s always pretended to be since then.

We were forced to solve some unpleasant situations : Bonnie was scared about other cats and quite aggressive during cat-shows. MVDr. Žertová helped us with this problem and she recommanded buying a cat-friend for Bonnie. Despite claims the risk was still there : The risk that she accepts another cat at home, but the fear from strange cats would be still here. The collective and  well-considered action followed.  


 

 

Story II. - Elais

We were looking for a friend for Bonnie – any Norwegian Forest Cat. I am not sure how did I get Agnar web pages in Poland. They breed NFO. The section about kittens was there and we started to find our next cat there.We knew that we want a cat with white paws. We saw some photos of kittens from Gatta*PL breeding, they had several identical and so beautiful kittens for taking off. Elias was our decision. Why Elias? Because of her white top of a tail. Ready to go!

The advance-payment was sent via Western Union and the great thing was that Elias has been booked for us  immidiatelly after our arriving home from town. What a great pleasure in our house when we knew that Elias would live with us!

I travelled to Havířov´s cat show to buy her there, 1.5.2006, where Ewa has showed all her cats. However, Bonnie firstly made it up so badly with the fact that any other cat occupied her roost and ate from her bowels, till the end of the first week she stopped with a sulk and started to be a friend with Elias.

Elais completelly came up to all our expectations  of a show-cat. She loves it and do her exhibitions with a pleasure. She reached Grandinter Champion item.

Elias is right now a mother of three litters, where each of the kittens get an award of The Best Kitten of the Show. And two of her litters recieved an award of The Best Litter of the Show. Her kittens could be found in breedings in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany or in The Netherlands.  

 

 

Story III. - Yaki-Da

It was Summer of  2007 and I was again surfing the web. It seemed to me as if I am almost not able to unstick from the screen and key-board.  FIFe /The Global Organization concerning cats/ celebrates two famous days : The World Winner / it means the competition of a World Chamipion, which is fixed in October and  The Scandinavien Winner, which is fixed in the Summer. At that time the winner was a little white cat from Zygot´s breeding station. So, what a surprise, I surfed their webpages to gues that they have some free kittens. Yakidka was free as well and her eyes had an unbelievable blue colour. I fell in love with her blue eyes.  My decision was really prompt – coming over some small type´s mistakes – the decision for buying Yakidka! Though, how to explain it to my husband? I was obliged to use a small untruht. I said that I had paied a non-reversible advanced payment which we would miss in a case of cancellation. OK. He agreed, again. That was the moment when I sent the whole payment to Annike including the delivery fees.

Yakidka flew towards us with an interlanding in Kodaň(Copenhagen) and we were waiting for her in 21.7.2007 in Prague´s Airport – Ruzyň.  I really couldn´t wait to see her. One hour after landing some people gave us in „cargo space“ a  container with so small and scared kitten.

On the arrival she got a privilege of unlimited using of our bedroom. By the way, the first thing she has done was that she has hidden behind the wardrobe and we weren´t able to get her out. I had to vacate both wardrobes to move with them and draw Yakida out. „Oh damn, she would always be hidden behind of our furniture!“ My husband sighed.

Finally, Yakida has grown into a very sensible cat depending on people. She is so fondling and she really loves my husband. Nothing strange about that, both celebrate their birthday at the same day.

I am looking forwad to beautiful kittens, ´cos of we have found the right tom-cat for Yakida even it is in 2010. I believe this will work.

 

 

Story IV. - Charlotte

Charlotte is a cat from the third litter of Elias and Oscar. She is the best cat from litter C and she was reservated for the USA breeding for quite a long time. By the way, finally the trade didn´t carry out and we weren´t able to accept selling her as a pet. Our next decision was to let her in our family. She was the biggest, the statelist and the most inteligent. In addition, her puberty has been added to her features.

Charlotte took a part in some cat-shows as a kitten and later she relaxed as a pet at home.Our first-born son has taken so much of our attention that there hasn´t been time for cat-shows. I am not sure if Charlotte will ever join as may cat-shows as her cat-mother Elias, but probably not due to the fact that be became full.value family.

Charlotte is such as a challenge for breeders. She is my breeding success and I hope she would move the level of our breeding up. I believe I am able to choose an accurate tom-cat for her. And first Charlotte´s kittens could be expected by the end of 2010.
